What I Suggest Each Parent to Do (Based on Age)

Updated: Mar 5

The age and current score of your student hugely impacts my advice for your child.

The earliest any child should start studying is when they finish their Sophomore year of high school. Starting earlier can simply burn out the child. Sure, some experience is better than no experience, but let your child focus on school work and wait until they are are least 16. If anything, sign up your child for as many ACT tests as the kid can handle, but please don't get them a tutor if they are too young.

The perfect time to start your child's studying is once they finish their Sophomore year of high school. Ironically enough, the earliest and the best time to start is two years before the real test. If the child works really hard for two whole summers, the sky is the limit, and the roof is the floor. There is no limit to how many times your child can take the ACT, so why not take it as many times as you'd like? Maybe once your child will get lucky and score really high.

Once you start tutoring, I suggest you start with the "All-in" Package. With the "All-in" package, you get over 40 hours of video that your child can watch whenever they want. They can re-watch the videos as much as they want, and I can help the student review after they watch the lessons. And, during the school year on a busy week, your child can watch the videos whenever he or she has free time.

However, I also offer tutoring packages. If you order multiple hours at once, you are eligible for discounted rates. Each session I have is one-and-a-half hours each, and I start packages at 3 hours at a time. In general, I suggest each student has at least 16 hours of tutoring before I feel a student is ready for the test.

I would be more than happy to talk to you about my services and how I can help your child achieve his or her dream. Please give me a call or text at 615-364-6302, or email me at coachcalv@gmail.com today.
